(Minneapolis, Minnesota) On Monday, December 5th, Minneapolis welcomed The Tom Joyner Morning Show and The Michael Baisden Show to local airwaves through KQSP Magic 1530 am radio. Tom Joyner hosts the most popular syndicated morning shows ever, heard in more than 100 cities with millions of listeners. Michael Baisden’s program focuses on the hottest issues and headlines impacting the community as well as relationship topics and financial success.
In June, KQSP changed formats from tropical to adult contemporary. Magic 1530 am plays Classic & Contemporary R&B, featuring artists such as Charlie Wilson, James Brown, Mary J Blige, Maxwell, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye and Marsha Ambrosius. The station will also offer an array of homegrown talent from artists such as Prince, Mint Condition, Alexander O’Neal, and Janet Jackson.
Joining Tom Joyner and Michael Baisden is the Twin Cities’ own Debonaire McNeal hosting “The Mid-Day Madness” show from 10am to 2pm every weekday. Debonaire has been a fixture in the Minneapolis night life scene as a music and events promoter bringing in national acts such as Anthony Hamilton, Whoodini, and Mint Condition.

The Tom Joyner Morning show airs 6am to 10am weekdays, followed by “The Mid-Day Madness” with Debonaire from 10am to 2pm, capped off with Michael Baisden from 2pm to 6pm. The Tom Joyner show will also air on Saturdays from 5am to 7am featuring his “Right Back At Cha” show.
